Today is my mum's birthday. Happy birthday!!
And for this occasion, as well as in preparation for my parents' visit in September, I am going to dedicate a series of Edinburgh-related posts to my mum. And the places she likes from my blog we can then visit in real life.
Only 3 km east of Arthur's seat, in Portobello, is Edinburgh's main beach. From my work in Leith it is a 20 min bike ride to get fish and chips and enjoy the evening sun while watching crazy Scottish kids playing in the freezing water.
